Payments data is now available in myHub SiteLink Web Edition

We made the Transactions and CC Deposits and Fees pages available in myHub SiteLink Web Edition so that you can view that data for any sites you have access to without logging into the myHub Corporate Control Center.

This change makes managing credentials for myHub Corporate Control Center easier by giving you all the payment information you need to do your job in myHub SiteLink Web Edition. It also makes it simpler for you to check your locations' transactions without having to switch between site logins.

You can find the new pages by logging into SiteLink Web Edition on myhub.sitelink.com and selecting Storable Payments from the menu on the left.

Preparation for EMV payments

We’re excited to announce that we will be releasing EMV (chip) payments to Storable Payments customers in the upcoming months. We don’t have a release date just yet, but we will keep you informed as we finalize our timeline. Accepting EMV payments decreases the likelihood that you could be held liable for chargebacks because the chip technology cannot be copied like magnetic strip cards.

In preparation for this new feature, we’ve made a few changes to SiteLink Web Edition.

We’ve removed the credit card brand options from the Payment Method drop-down menu and consolidated those options under Credit Card Manual. Please select this option for all manually entered credit card transactions.

Refunds shown in the NSF section of some reports

We resolved an issue that was causing refunds that took place after a daily close to be included in both the Refunds and NSF section of the Management Summary and General Journal Entry reports.

Required AVS and CVV information

We have made the Billing Address, Postal Code, and CVV fields required for any credit card payment that is not swiped or processed by Auto-Billing. This requirement aligns with industry best practices for fraud reduction and can help decrease credit card decline rates. Manually entered transactions are more likely to be approved and run successfully when both the tenant’s address and CVV are submitted. These fields will also be required when entering a new card on file.

If the tenant’s Billing Address is the same as the Tenant Address on file, you can click Auto-fill with tenant address to fill in the postal code and billing address fields.

You will still be able to process Auto-Bill payments without the customer’s Billing Address however, collecting that information helps reduce decline rates. We have created a report in SiteLink Web Edition to let you know which Auto-Bill customers are missing a Billing Address on file. You will see a reminder called Missing AVS Information directing you to this new report. Tenants will be removed from the list as you collect and enter their billing address. Update: We removed the Missing AVS Reminder on 8/9/22.

Additions to the Transactions report

We added new columns to the Transactions report that display the tenant name and unit name for each transaction. We also added pending terminal transactions to make daily reconciliation easier. You will see this new information on both the Transactions page in SiteLink myHub and the Transactions report export.

Refunds to credit cards during move-out

We have added the ability to refund money directly to a tenant’s credit card during the move-out process. There are a few security measures in place that you should know about that help prevent fraud when issuing a refund to a credit card:

  • The card you are issuing the refund to must have been used at your facility previously and processed by Storable Payments.

  • You cannot refund more money to a credit card than has been spent at your facility and processed by Storable Payments. If you have recently switched to Storable Payments and need to issue a refund for an amount greater than what has been processed through Storable Payments so far, we recommend issuing a check to the customer.

  • You cannot refund more than the calculated refundable amount based on the tenant’s ledger.

Midnight Deposit Cutoff

We are now offering Midnight Deposit Cut Off Time as an alternative to the 9:30 pm ET Deposit Cutoff!

With this option, your daily bank deposit will include payments taken from 12 am to 11:59 pm local time at each of your facilities. This means your bank deposits will only include transactions from a single calendar day. Please note that with a midnight cut-off time, deposits are currently funded 3 days after payments are taken instead of the 2 day funding time you get with 9:30 PM ET deposit cutoff.

If you would like to switch to Midnight Deposit Cut-Off with 3-day funding or if you have any questions, your account administrator or merchant owner can let us know by replying to this email or giving us a call at 512-886-1840.

We fixed an issue that was causing some credit card payments made through the Web Template to be automatically voided
