How to update a card on file for Storable Payments

To update a tenant’s card on file that uses Storable Payments, the card must be deleted and the updated data re-entered. 

You will need all of the tenant’s payment card information, including:

  • Name on the card
  • Full card number
  • Expiration date
  • Card Verification Value (CVV) number

Note: Tenant payment cards can be updated through the Tenants screen or the Ledger Settings screen. This process will create a new token with the tenant’s correct credit card information.

Follow these steps to update a card with the Tenants screen:

  1. Login to SiteLink Web Edition. On the main screen, click Tenants.

  1. Click Credit Card.

  1. On the Credit Card screen, choose None for Monthly Automatic Billing. Next, remove all existing Credit Card or ACH Bank Debit card information and click OK

 

 

  1. Exit Tenants screen and refresh SiteLink. 
  1. Go back into the tenant’s account and update payment card information.
  2. Highlight the tenant.

  1. Click either Credit Card or Multi-Unit Credit Card.

  1. Reenter all of the tenant’s credit card information, turn on Auto Bill, then click OK.

 

Follow these steps to update a card on file through Ledger Settings:

  1. On the main screen, click Ledger Settings.

  1. In the Auto Bill section of the Ledger Settings screen, click Edit..

  1. On the Credit Card screen, choose None for Monthly Automatic Billing. Next, remove all existing Credit Card or ACH Bank Debit card information and click OK

 

  1. Exit Ledger Settings screen and refresh SiteLink. Continue to step 5 below.
  1. Click Ledger Settings on the main screen. 

  1. In the Auto Bill section of the Ledger Settings screen, click Edit.

  1. Reenter all of the tenant’s credit card information, turn on Auto Bill, and click OK.

  1. When you return to the Ledger Settings screen, click OK again to save the updated tenant’s payment card information.
