Troubleshooting: PC charge server error

⚠️ This article is intended for SiteLink clients who are using Storable Payments as their payment processor.

 

A few Storable Payments customers have reported receiving an error that reads "PC charge server must be running to process the payment" when attempting to process a payment. The issue is typically that the Firewall on their router or the computer itself is blocking access to the Storable Payments server.

How will I know if I am affected?

In order to verify that your Firewall is blocking the Storable Payments server, try navigating to https://payments.storable.io/health. If the page will not load or is blocked, you will need to whitelist Storable Payments (see below). If the page loads but you are still having trouble processing payments, reach out to our support team for assistance at (512) 886-1840 or merchantsupport@sitelink.com.

How can I fix this problem?

Work with your IT person or the person who set up your network to whitelist *.storable.io with your router and the computer/s you use to process payments.
