How do I mark a unit as unrentable?

If you need to mark a vacant unit as unrentable and remove it from available units, you can easily do so from the Unit Notes section. If you know an occupied unit needs to be marked as unrentable after a tenant vacates, you can do so during move-out. Follow the instructions below to mark a unit as unrentable or mark an unrentable unit as rentable. 

Mark an unoccupied unit as unrentable from Unit Notes

1. Select Company from the left side menu.  
2. Click Unit Notes. unit_notes.png
3. On the next screen, select an unoccupied unit and click Edit.

4. Check the box next to Unrentable. If the unit needs maintenance, check the box next to Service Required.

Enter additional details if you would like in the open text field and click OK to save the note.

When the issue with the unit has been resolved, follow the instructions below to mark it as rentable.

 

Mark a unit as unrentable at move-out

1. Begin processing the move-out in SiteLink Web Edition by selecting Move Out from the Operations screen.
2. In the bottom left corner of the screen, check the box next to Unrentable. move_out_unrentable.png

3. Continue processing the move-out.

After the move-out is complete, the unit will no longer be available for rent. When the issue with the unit has been resolved, follow the instructions below to mark it as rentable.

 

Mark an unrentable unit as rentable

1. Click Modify Units from the Company screen in SiteLink Web Edition. modify_units.png
2. Select the unrentable unit and click Edit Selections.

3. Check the box next to Rentable.

4. Click OK.
