How to enable Auto-Protect
Enabling Auto-Protect takes just a few steps:
- Exclude unit types that you don’t want insured.
- Check that the Auto-Protect Agreement form is enabled.
- Enable Auto-Protect settings.
Exclude unit types from insurance
Excluding a unit type from your store insurance prevents you from selling coverage for units that you don’t want or need to be insured, like a unit that isn’t covered by your insurance policy. If a tenant moves into a unit that has been excluded from insurance, they will not be offered insurance at move-in or enrolled via Auto-Protect.
To exclude a unit type from insurance:
1. Log into the SiteLink Corporate Control Center and click Insurance and Protection Plans. |

2. Select a location from the list of your locations. |

3. Click Setup under the Insurance brand you use. Please note: This feature is only available to Bader and Storsmart customers. |

4. Click Set Defaults. |
|
5. Select the units you would like to exclude from Auto-Protect and select None from the default plan dropdown menu. Click Apply when you are done. |
Check that the Insurance Certificate form is enabled
When a tenant is enrolled into your store insurance plan, they will receive an email with links to the insurance brochure and Certificate of Insurance. Please check that the Insurance certificate form has been set up in your software by following the steps below.
1. In SiteLink Web Edition, click Setup. |

2. Click Form Setup. |

3. Look for an Insurance Certificate form in your list of forms. If you do not have that form, please contact our support team at Insurancecare@storable.com. |
Enable Auto-Protect
To enable Auto-Protect:
1. Log into the SiteLink Corporate Control Center and click Insurance and Protection Plans. |

2. Select a location from the list of your locations. |
|
3. Click Setup under the Insurance brand you use. Please note: This feature is only available to Bader and Storsmart customers. |

4. Check the box for Auto-Protect and click OK. |
