Rental Center 2.0: Setting up reservations and online move-ins

SitelinkStorable Websites

Rental Center 2.0 provides an intuitive reservation and online move-in process for your tenants. There are a variety of settings that let you customize your tenants’ experience and the information you gather from them.

Enabling reservations and move-ins

  1. Access the Settings tab in Rental Center 2.0.

  2. Select the Reservations & Move-ins settings.

  3. To enable reservations, check the box labeled "Allow Reservations." To enable move-ins, check the box labeled "Allow Move-ins."

  4. Click Save.

If you are using same-day move-ins within SiteLink and add a number to limit the number of days in advance for move-in below the Allow move-in checkbox, you may experience an error. To avoid move-in errors, ensure that your settings in SiteLink and Rental Center 2.0 don't contradict one another.

Enabling e-sign for move-in documents

Rental Center 2.0 provides an easy move-in experience for your customers, but on the business side, a move-in isn’t complete until the lease is signed. When a customer moves into your facility, the SiteLink lease for the unit they selected will be populated. If you enable e-sign, you’ll be able to collect a signature from the customer at that time, preventing you from having to collect it later.

To enable e-sign:

  1. From Rental Center 2.0, access the Settings tab.

  2. Access the General settings listed at the top.

  3. Check the box next to Use e-sign.

  4. Click Save changes.

Enabling reservation and move-in notifications to managers

If you’d like someone at your company (such as a manager) to receive notice any time a customer reserves or moves into a unit from your website, you can configure your Rental Center 2.0 settings to send a copy of all reservation and move-in confirmations to an email address. To do so:

  1. Access your Rental Center 2.0 Settings tab.

  2. Click the Notification Emails tab.

  3. Enter any email address that you’d like to receive confirmation emails in the field below Additional CC Email Addresses and click Add. You can add multiple email addresses if you choose.

  4. Click Save changes.

Be mindful that the email address will receive a CC copy and not a BCC copy of the email. This email address will be visible to customers when they receive a notification, and the email address you enter here will receive any emails for which the customer has used Reply All to respond to the facility.
