How do I make adjustments to inventory?

If you need to make changes to your merchandise stock levels, you can do so from Inventory Adjustments.

Accessing Inventory Adjustments

Inventory Adjustments can be accessed from the Setup screen in SiteLink Web Edition and by clicking Merchandise.

Click Inventory Adjustments.

You can also access Inventory Adjustments from the Adjustments screen by clicking Returns & Inventory Adjustments.

Changing stock levels

Select the merchandise item you would like to adjust, then click the radio button for the Adjustment Type you need.

Adjustment Types

(+) next to an adjustment type indicates that the option will increase the inventory count for the item.

(-) next to an adjustment type indicates that the option will decrease the inventory count for the item.

Return: A customer purchased merchandise and is returning all or a portion of the items.

Scrap: An item cannot be sold because it is damaged.

Display: An item is used for display and is not included in the inventory available for sale.

Promotion: An item was used as a promotion or giveaway.

Received Shipment: New inventory was received via shipment.

Other Adjustment (+): Use this option to add merchandise back to inventory for reasons not listed above. For example, if you took an item out of inventory to use it for display, but will now be selling it.

Other Adjustment (-) : Use this option to remove merchandise from inventory for reasons other than those listed above. For example, you are using some boxes to store documents.

Transferred To (-): This option can be used if you have an overabundance of an item and are transferring stock to another store.

Transferred From (+): This option can be used in conjunction with Transferred To if your store is receiving items from another store.

Enter a new price for the item in the New Amount field if needed, and enter the quantity you are adding or subtracting from inventory by typing it in the Change field.

Click OK, then click Yes in the pop-up to confirm that you want to save your changes.
