You can configure recurring charges for any tenant who would like their expenses billed monthly (e.g., water, electricity). In this example, we will use a Recurring Charge for Pest Control.
Note: You can have up to 13 recurring charges. Late Fees do not count towards this maximum.
To set up a Recurring Charge, click Setup from the main screen.
Under General Setup, click Charges.
In the Charges screen, select Recurring Charge 5 and click Edit.
Change the information needed to match the charge you are trying to create. In this example, the charge is called Pest Control, charging $20 a month and applying it at move-in.
Next, you'll add the Pest Control charge to a tenant's account. Go back to the Operations screen, then click Payments.
Select the tenant that will receive the Pest Control recurring charge.
Select the unit to add the charge and click Edit Charges and Payments.
Find the Pest Control Charge in the list of charges, change the date to the start of the next billing period of the tenant, and click Add New Charge.
Click Yes to confirm the recurring Pest Control charge.
After adding the charge, the recurring charge appears on the tenant's account. Click OK.
Click OK again on the payments screen to save the charge to the account.
