How do I Accept Payments with a Card Reader?

If your facility uses a magnetic stripe USB card reader, SiteLink Web Edition and myHub allow you to process payments without manually entering card details.

Prerequisite:

For standard SiteLink swipe functionality, use an unencrypted USB magnetic-stripe swiper that emulates a keyboard.

SiteLink Web Edition: Processing Payments with a Card Reader


  1. From the main screen, click Payments.

  1. In the Payments screen, enter the payment amount.

  1. Swipe the card with your card reader. The card number and expiration date automatically populate. Click OK to process the payment.

Note: The Card Verification Value (CVV) is not required, since the card is present during the transaction.

  1. Click OK on the Process Credit Card screen to process the payment.


myHub: Processing Payments with a Card Reader


  1. From the main screen, click Payments.

  1. In the Payments screen, enter the payment amount.

  1. Swipe the card with your card reader. The card number and expiration date automatically populate. Click Submit to process the payment.

Note: The Card Verification Value (CVV) is not required, since the card is present during the transaction.

  1. Click OK on the Process Credit Card screen to process the payment.
